Ponte Vedra

Ponte Vedra Beach is a short drive up A1A and a place that has been deemed synonymous with gorgeous beaches and great golfing. The highest sand dunes in Florida, reaching upwards to 40’ are found in Ponte Vedra Beach.

Located 18 miles southeast of downtown Jacksonville and 26 miles north of St. Augustine, it is part of the Jacksonville Beaches area. Jacksonville Beach is at its northern border, the Intracoastal Waterway is to its west, and the Atlantic Ocean is to its east. The PGA Tour and the Players Championship is also a notorious reason for visiting Ponte Vedra as well.

Between the pristine beaches, the beautiful October moon, lots of delicious fine dining from renowned chefs, boutique and couture shopping, it is no wonder why this is on many people’s list to call home! It also lies in the third wealthiest county in Florida, ranking just behind the Palm Beach and Naples areas.

Ponte Vedra Beach was 50th on the list of 100 finalists for CNN and Money Magazine’s List of the Best Places to Live.

It was the first place in Florida to be named in that year and one of only four areas in the state to make the cut. As of August 1, 2012 the average house costs around $720,000 and the average age of a resident is between 45 and 60 years old.

Ponte Vedra has about 29,500 people currently calling it home and about 3,000 of those are renters.

Properties managed in Ponte Vedra by Rental Partners are typically large newer homes in gated subdivisions. One of Ponte Vedra’s draw is that it is in St. Johns County which is notorious for A+ rated public schooling. It, along with the sunny days and beautiful beaches, are all prominent features that keep the prices in Ponte Vedra elevated to the top of the market. It is a great area to rent, a great area to own and a wonderful area to rent before your own!

Perhaps no stretch of highway reaches further into America’s history than the A1A Scenic & Historic Coastal byway, which eventually ends up in Historic St. Augustine. St. Augustine is just a short drive down A1A to our south. Nocatee, in Ponte Vedra, is one of the fastest growing communities in Florida. It’s no wonder why people love Ponte Vedra. Miles of beaches loaded with shells and hidden shark’s teeth. Palm tree lined streets with soft white lights. Nice cars, shopping, lots of restaurant choices, some of the best golfing around, a perennial relaxed feel and resort casual attire. It’s almost like you’re on a constant vacation.

Things to do would be to enjoy Guana Tolomato Matanzas state on a weekend, which includes a picnic pavilion, almost 10 miles of hiking trails, 3 beach access points, a beautiful coquina sand beach, a fishing area, 2 small boat ramps and lots of designated educational programs. Take in a concert at the Ponte Vedra Beach Concert Hall. Relax at Bird Island Park, a 4.2 mile park Bird designed to represent north Florida’s ecosystem. Take your doggie to Paws Dog Park where they can run and play unleashed.
